Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Truro

Tabbs Restaurant

85 Kenwyn St, Truro TR1 3BZ, UK – 01872 262110

Superb. It's what you might call "high end",so for us, a bit of a treat. The food was absolutely outstanding, as was the service. We hoped for a good experience based on a couple of previous visits, and so it proved. Also, given the overall quality, Tabbs is not stupidly expensive. Far from it. Also, once a month, a set menu Sunday lunch is available, and I would highly recommend. We will certainly be doing that again. Probably Truro's finest.

Exactly what I expected from a top class restaurant. Friendly staff, beautifully prepared courses, good choice of meals, excellent wine. Of course quality comes at an appropriate price, so don't expect much change from £80 for a three course meal for two and a couple of drinks. Highly recommended for any special occasion.

Manning's Restaurant Bar & Hotel

Mannings Hotel, 80 Lemon Street, Truro TR1 2QB, UK – 01872 247900

Staff are lovely and friendly when dining there. Great menu nice and varied and managed to eat here when on a keto food regime which is always a bonus. Lovely surroundings and right in the city centre. Always a good experience

Stunning food and amazing staff. Everything cooked to perfection

Hooked! Restaurant & Bar

Tabernacle St, Truro TR1 2EJ, UK – 01872 274700

Excellent restaurant. The dishes are well thought out and reasonably priced, with great quality seafood. There's great choice - one of us had a standard main (the seafood platter) while another made their own meal with some tapas and starter dishes. The staff were very helpful in identifying gluten-free dishes or swaps. We hope we have a chance to visit again!

It is a modern restaurant with an open kitchen. The food is mainly fish with nice fishy tapas and the obligatory but good quality fish and chips. Good local beers. However they close early and are apt to turn you away if they are quite full and they can't face the thought of serving right up to closing time which is a bit off-putting and in complete contrast from the welcome you get if you turn up at 6 pm.
