Well presented hotel and staff. Comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Good amenities and food was very good. Polite staff on every interaction, even the cheery cleaner! Central location but has a good size car park. I'll make this my hotel of choice when visiting Truro.
Very nice hotel and restaurant. Staff, without exception, very friendly and helpful. Lovely food in the restaurant, nice cocktails. Good sized room, although a bit noisy with the ever-present seagulls in Truro, but that's hardly the fault of the hotel. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. If circumstance permits we will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed at our stay at The Alverton, we felt totally spoilt and didn't want to leave! Stunning architecture set in beautiful surroundings, the rooms are generous in size and very comfortable. We were most impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, nothing was too much trouble and they always went the extra mile. Would definitely stay here again.
My young family attended a beautiful wedding at the Alverton. The daytime was well organised with attentive staff. The venue was clean and well taken care off. Plenty of parking. In the evening the lighting provided a spectacular backdrop to my cousins special day. Pricey drinks. Stunning ceiling in the main events room.

I use this hotel/pub when working in Truro. I love it. The rooms have a (good) Hilton quality spec but at an excellent price. Staff are very friendly and obliging and there is plenty of parking too. It's a 10min walk from the station and there are supermarkets nearby too. The pub attached does great food and has friendly staff with offers of the day and the breakfast is amazing They even give 10% nhs discount on production of your id card
This has definitely got to be the best pub meal that I have ever had. The building is relatively new, very clean and has a good atmosphere. The views from the balcony are great. Prices are a little higher than usual but still very reasonable. It definitely comes as recommended.

Can't recommend this place highly enough. ALL the meals we've had so far, have been absolutely delicious (and we've had a lot)..and we're very fussy! The burgers are just perfect, the steaks are tender and the chilli is heavenly. Even the dips are divine, especially the home made chilli one. The Sunday lunches are always spot on too. I'd go as far to say, not only is this one of the best places to go to in the County, I'd say in the Country!
Fantastic food. Really friendly staff. Would definitely go back :) has a really nice atmosphere

A lovely place for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent (and I don't say this lightly) and the staff are friendly and professional. There is always an excellent range of beer on offer and the wine list is good too.
Blink and you will miss this place but it would be a big mistake Dropped in here for a quick bite to eat- wow Fish of the day, spectacular Ate in Jamie's 15 at Watergate 3 nights ago, was on par with that- it was that good
Infirmary Hill, Truro TR1 2JA, UK – 01872 858110
Food has been very good but get the impression quality goes down if very busy. Can be noisy because of the way it has been refurbished. If the drinks were more reasonably priced I would have given it 4 stars.
Enjoyable family meal for thirteen people. Good food, good friendly service. Nice place.

Great location far away from noise. Just nature around. Landlady takes realy good care of her guests. We will visit this place again.
If I could give six stars, I would. The warmest of welcomes, great cake, lovely spacious room, and a very generous breakfast. Overall a wonderful place to stay and Annie is a lovely hostess!

It feels like a home, basically because it actually is one. Having a bit of a cold I found having access to a proper kitchen and being able to heat up my soup very nice. The old house is renovated in a bit of a shabby chic way. The bathrooms dont have marble but are still glamourous in their own way.
Great place, with make your own breakfast. Lovely owners. Place is warm and clean. Old house that was built in 1854. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
