We arranged our 'works Christmas do' here and stayed here for a night as we didn't want to drive all the way back to Devon the same evening. The location is convenient and easy to find. The venue is terrific, in the old chapel and really nicely presented. Service and food were good, the room a high standard and the cost perfectly acceptable. Recommended.
I have now stayed at the Alverton Hotel twice now . There are 2 different areas of accommodation, the main building and the converted stables (at least I think they were stables). The main building has tonnes of character has less "mod-cons" and the stables are modern but less character but still first class. Food is also really good too. I would recommend staying here, I would also recommend the creams teas

Well presented hotel and staff. Comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Good amenities and food was very good. Polite staff on every interaction, even the cheery cleaner! Central location but has a good size car park. I'll make this my hotel of choice when visiting Truro.
It's a lovely hotel, we've been here a few times over the years. The range of cocktails is stunning and the food is outstanding. Geoff can't wait for his Cornish breakfast, including white (hogs) pudding.

Getting much better. Been going on and off for years as it's our local and it's been much better lately. The food is good value, the beer and wine selection is of good quality. The atmosphere and staff are cheerful but professional and relaxed.
Nice place to have a drink. If you are looking for Harvester or Hungary Horse style food it's pretty much the same. Nothing to shout about. It would be great if they started doing some good old pub food. Made fresh with good ingredients! As it is its pretty much a reheat from frozen job.

Fantastic food. Really friendly staff. Would definitely go back :) has a really nice atmosphere
FULL GLUTEN FREE MENU! I was so surprised when I visited to find that basically the whole menu could be done for me as a Coeliac. I indulged in cod and chips with Gluten Free batter (!!) that was amazing and made fresh for me to order. It was delicious and I will definitely be back. For Gluten intolerant eaters and coeliacs this place is heaven. My partner also loved his non Gluten Free food and agrees we must come back regularly.

Enjoyable family meal for thirteen people. Good food, good friendly service. Nice place.
So glad I didn't have a starter, portions Hugh. Had the Sunday roast, didn't have room for pudding either. Wish this inn was closer, Staff lovely. Was worth the drive over.

A lovely place for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent (and I don't say this lightly) and the staff are friendly and professional. There is always an excellent range of beer on offer and the wine list is good too.
Fantastic food and a great atmosphere along with stellar service!

If I could give six stars, I would. The warmest of welcomes, great cake, lovely spacious room, and a very generous breakfast. Overall a wonderful place to stay and Annie is a lovely hostess!
A great bed and breakfast in Truro. Guest house is handy for tourist spots of Cornwall such as Falmouth, Lands End, The Lizard, Perranporth and St Ives. Close by are Blue seas, white sand beaches, blue, sunny skies and Palm trees, what more could you ask? Paul Davies

Great place, with make your own breakfast. Lovely owners. Place is warm and clean. Old house that was built in 1854. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
A home-like family run bnb with stylish deco and warm hosting. Price reasonable. Highly recommend.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
