Smallish rooms. But perfectly clean and presentable. Lovely staff. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. A sparse offering of continental options is included, with pricey additions for cooked additions. I wasn't offered a second cup of coffee either.
Went for a birthday meal with 15 people. Booked for ahead of time. What a fantastic meal. One of the nicest I've had to date. Food was fantastic (blackened squid, Stilton steak, dark chocolate pistachio tart) wine was lovely (pinot), and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back

Middle of the town, can be difficult to get around 5 pm due to sheer traffic. This used to be a convent so the rooms are unusual and has the feel of a convent, in a nice way in my view. Simple but tasteful decor , my rooms looked like it had the original wardrobe and mirror. Restaurant had very nice food and the bar area and terrace was comfortable. Good parking and the receptionists were very helpful. I would visit again .
Good size room. I had superior double. New bathroom. Service and food good. Plenty of parking. Bar and restaurant good.

Not been for a awhile, the restruant had a beautiful make over and looks clean and fresh. The food was lovely a day was glad to see that they had kept the chocolate sharing desert on the menu. A lovely time was had by all and will be back soon.
I use this hotel/pub when working in Truro. I love it. The rooms have a (good) Hilton quality spec but at an excellent price. Staff are very friendly and obliging and there is plenty of parking too. It's a 10min walk from the station and there are supermarkets nearby too. The pub attached does great food and has friendly staff with offers of the day and the breakfast is amazing They even give 10% nhs discount on production of your id card

Amazing food lovely staff. Only down side is it was too loud witch made it difficult to have a conversation
Excellent food and a really good atmosphere, the drinks are a little pricey for Cornwall though

Can't recommend this place highly enough. ALL the meals we've had so far, have been absolutely delicious (and we've had a lot)..and we're very fussy! The burgers are just perfect, the steaks are tender and the chilli is heavenly. Even the dips are divine, especially the home made chilli one. The Sunday lunches are always spot on too. I'd go as far to say, not only is this one of the best places to go to in the County, I'd say in the Country!
Fantastic food. Really friendly staff. Would definitely go back :) has a really nice atmosphere

We had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch here today, 05/11/017. Service was extremely good and friendly. Waiting time for our lunch was about 15 minutes. Plates were hot and food steaming hot. We would definitely return.
Where to start? The food was OUTSTANDING! No other word for it, the service matched it, Will was attentive and charming, a real credit to you. Can't wait to come back! Thank you so much.

Very friendly hosts, super breakfast. Shame they ceased trading and sold up.

It feels like a home, basically because it actually is one. Having a bit of a cold I found having access to a proper kitchen and being able to heat up my soup very nice. The old house is renovated in a bit of a shabby chic way. The bathrooms dont have marble but are still glamourous in their own way.
Great place, with make your own breakfast. Lovely owners. Place is warm and clean. Old house that was built in 1854. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

It was so lovely to stop there. The room was nice and clean, good quality of the facilities. Different kind of tea and coffee, water and cakes. TV and computer are in the kitchen as well. The people there are very very nice ! It is just about the town centre , 5 minutes walking . Very easy to get to bus stop and train station . And very close the the cinema where you can get £5 ticket every Monday! Love it!
Lovely room, great welcome and delicious cake in the afternoon. Good facilities to have own food in the breakfast area. Would have been 5 stars but the breakfast was a bit disappointing....continental help yourself would be improved with some local bakery bread, pastries and preserves.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
